“Sneem Hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It has everything you need for a very relaxing and comfortable weekend. The bar food is lovely, the restaurant first class and the staff are so helpful and nice. The view from my room was breath taking especially at sundown with the sun setting behind the mountains, reflected in the water. The short walk along the shore line back into the town of Sneem has great views of the inlet and the town. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“Stayed in Sneem hotel for 3 nights during Halloween mid term break with family, 2 girls (10 and 7) and 3 month old. The receptionist in the hotel advised us to go into the village for trick or treating and our girls had a great time with all the shops and bars welcoming the trick or treaters with bucket loads of goodies. The hotel is modern and clean and all staff are very friendly, food is very good including the evening meal that was included in our package. The Sneem area is absolutely beautiful, including the nearby Derrynane Strand which is fabulous. We'd absolutely recommend this hotel for a family break.”

“Had a really good time here. Staff were fantastic and the food is just so good. There was entertainment on in the bar on Saturday night and that was really good. My only objection was the room we were in was at the front of the hotel not to good of a view and we asked would it be possible to get a room to the back of the hotel there was a room available for the two nights that we were there but they wanted to charge â‚¬20 extra per night for the privilege be warned. Everything else was ok.”

“Fabulous hotel with stunning views. We asked for sea view rooms and were not disappointed. Large, bright, clean and fresh accommodation. They had new staff in who were a little bit muddled at times, but generally very nice. My only down point would be charging â‚¬3.50 for a bucket of ice and â‚¬5.00 if you want glasses with it! Would visit again. A lovely break.”

“3rd visit on the Lidl breaks, dinner bed and breakfast. 10/10, no fault, the room and bed were comfortable spacious and clean ( sparkling actually). 2 course dinner was lovely although the exact same menu as 2015 and their breakfast bacon is really good. My only criticism would be their brown bread - its poor. I would reccommend the Sneem Hotel without hesitation and look forward to visiting again before the year is out”

“We have stayed at this hotel four times now and it is still one of my favourites in all of Ireland. We were given a large room with a view of the lovely bay and although the weather was wet it was nice to look out at it. The food was excellent with plenty of choice for dinner. If you wanted steak it was â‚¬5 supplement and lamb at â‚¬10, which I thought was excellent but too dear. There's plenty of fried food and fruit and cereals for breakfast but no continental as in ham, cheese or smoked salmon. There is also good wifi throughout the hotel. We are looking forward to our next stay which hopefully will be soon.”

Our room was lovely and big, very clean, the bathroom was sparkling, the food in the bar was very good and the service was also very good. we ate in the restaurant the second night and our waitress was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. the food was very good. the hotel grounds are beautiful and you can take a lovely walk close by. all in all it was a great break in a great hotel.”

We got a free upgrade as I had asked for rooms with a view, as we were celebrating my parent's 50th Wedding anniversary. There were chocolate dipped strawberries and and a plate with Happy Anniversary inscribed in chocolate on it. A very nice touch. the hotel is a 2 min walk to Sneem village which is lovely also and a good place to be based for exploring the Ring of Kerry. Sharon”

“Overall, I had a lovely time in the hotel. The rooms were lovely and spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and accomadating. Breakfast was good and the dining room was lovely with nice staff. The hotel was very nice upon entering, however, I thought the outside was quite shabby, and when we pulled up I thought it was not going to be nice inside, which it is. The main entrance needs a bit of TLC and I felt it was a terribe pity that something so small should be neglected. Also, the single beds pushed together to make a double were at different heights. I let the receptionist know this before leaving. Its lovely hotel that just needs a little more attention. Other than that I would recommend it.”

“Stayed here for or 20th Wedding Anniversary on the weekend of the 21st June. We found the hotel to be a great get away. When we arrived our room was not ready so we were changed to one of the sea view rooms and this was brilliant, with a floor length double doors to open onto a breathtaking view of the sea and the mountains in the background. We had dinner there the first night as we were on a 2 night 1 dinner package and the set menu had everything that you could want including a melt in the mouth steak. The bar also had a guest Blaskett blonde beer that was very drinkable and served Dingle gin which is comparable to Bombay Sapphire . Lovely hotel in a lovely setting, near the village and ideally situated to see Iveragh Pennisula. Please stay there.”

“We stayed in the Sneem Hotel in April and this was our 4th or 5th time visiting. That probably tells it's own story. We love this hotel very much for its location, its comfort and its staff. We booked reasonably late due to a family bereavement and were thrilled to discover that we were given a suite overlooking goldenseal cove inlet. This has to be experienced...a beautiful view which always what's my artistic appetite. The room was very generous in size, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Talking about appetites...the food is superb. The staff are , as ever the jewel in the crown and each member deserves great praise. It is just a stroll down to Sneem village or you can journey out to Caherdaniel and Cahersiveen or of course to Killarney. The road to Cahersiveen is awesome by the way. Over all it was a most enjoyable holiday break. Will be back........again?”

Receptionist was very pleasant and the bar staff were very informative in regards to letting people know what to do in the area. The room was spacious and very comfortable bed. “We arrived on Tuesday 22nd of April and departed Thursday 24th of April. This is not the first time we have stayed at Sneem Hotel and each time we come away feeling like we were the most pampered couple ever. The hotel was perfect as always and the staff were superb both in their courtesy and efficiency. We got a beautiful suite overlooking Goldens Cove and it was like Heaven. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner which again was of the highest quality. Oh! And the sun shone....you can' together better than that. Sneem Hotel is absolute class.”

There was a kids club with a small charge (â‚¬5). I would just like to let people know that the girl working in reception called NIAMH was so IGNORANT, RUDE AND SO UN-HELPFUL..she did not want to help us in any way and was very snappy.. "Thank god their was a manager their.. or else I would prob be still their..".. So hopefully Niamh you learn from this!! Advantages: I would really like to THANK the manager in charge that day( did not get her name) that helped us to push my car ( as the battery was gone flat) and also the 3 lads from the kitchen who helped too.. but most of all I would like to THANK the couple that pulled up (did not get their names either) and offered us jump leads!! Disadvantages: Bedroom was cold, TV was not working at all, No shampoo/ shower gel in bathroom. THANKS AGAIN TO THE MANAGER AND 3 LADS AND TO THE COUPLE WHO HELPED US!”

“I just love Sneem Hotel. I keep going back for special occasions or else just to do the walks and cyles in the local area. It is set in a most scenic place with fabulours views of the mountain. The rooms are spacious and the beds are really comfortable. The dinner is excellent with a great choice. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is a great base for travelling around the Ring of Kerry with the beautiful scenary, and the village has a good atmosphere. I have highly recommended this hotel to my friends and family who have also visited this hotel on numerous occasions. We are planning to go back again in the Summer already!”

We travelled 4 and half hours for our break away and then we were charged double the rate when we were leaving . Staff were friendly food was okay . Ran a bath to relax before dinner and the water was green when I emptied it the bath was full of black sand .Needless to say I will not be returning here again”

“I am just home having stayed in this hotel for a night with a group of friends. This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful scenic location. The rooms are very spacious â€“ containing a super-king bed and a single bed. The room had all the usual facilities one would expect to find in a nice hotel, a good sized bathroom, multi-channel TV etc. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening and thoroughly enjoyed that too. Each person in the group was pleased with their choices from the menu. There was a gentleman singing in the bar and he was excellent. It was just a pity that the hotel was quiet (given the time of the year â€“ late November) and the bar was not busy, lacking a bit of atmosphere as a result. I understand that the hotel is only open at weekends at this time of the year but it was lovely and warm and comfortable. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was served until 11 am which was very welcome â€“ too often breakfast service finishes early, even on weekends. There was a good choice available. There is a small gym, a Jacuzzi and sauna but no pool. The hotel is set in lovely gardens beside the sea. We all loved our time in the Sneem Hotel.”

Food was excellent, we had dinner there each night and the menu changed each day,food was absolutely delicious and presentation was superb,breakfast was v good, all kinds of cereals, juices, breads and of course the traditional fry! Our room was on the first floor, very spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the water and mountains. It is a really tranquil setting and we were sorry to have to leave but we had a very very enjoyable break. We will definitely return to this hotel again in the future as it is the best hotel in which we have stayed for a long time. It is situated in an ideal position for touring south Kerry. Food in the hotel was lovely, had a great breakfast both mornings that set us up for the day. Would recommend this hotel but ask for a view when booking (we were limited with the dog coz we were in the pet-friendly section!). This was a great value offer that we availed of and I'd go for it again.”

“We stayed at The Sneem Hotel just Monday last week for 3 nights. We were very impressed with it. It is a grand, contemporary Hotel with all the facilities you need. We got there on the Monday and we were greeted most politele and by the lady on reception. The check in was fast and professional. We were given our door cards x 2, so one for each of us. The reception area is delightful with a large stone fireplace in the middle surrounded by sofa's and tables to relax by. The fire was lit which added to the ambiance. There are 2 lifts in the reception area side by side, so you never have a wait. Our bedroom was on the second floor, unfortunately not overlooking the sea but we could still see the Sneem Mountain backdrop. The room was very large and clean with a spotless en suite. Bed linen crisp and white & towels of the same standard. Large wardrobe space and a safe if needed. Modern tv which we hardly used as we were out and about so much. I couldn't fault the room at all. The breakfast the next day is served until 11am which is just fantastic as we were looking for a recharging break and needed the extra rest in the mornings. The breakfast room is large and bright & with a view of the sea and the mountain back drop. Its just so beautiful and cannot be explained, you must just go and see for yourself. The food was very good. Everything from Cereals, fruits salads, toast, pastries & traditional fry up. The service from the staff again was of a high standard & very warming and they talk to the customers. You can even sit out on the balcony if the weather is nice to have breakfast but we only went out to finish off our tea. Nothing better with the morning fresh air. We had breakfast there 3 mornings and ever day was of the same high standard. On the 3rd night we decided to stay in and eat dinner there also. We both had fish dishes and they were exceptional. We were sorry we hadn't had dinner there the previous night also. I have to say we were sad leaving this hotel but we will definitively be back. I didnt mention also the location is perfect for walkers. Its only 25 mins from Kenmare & the views down by Waterville, Valencia & Cahersiveen are amazing if you haven't been already. It was my first proper visit to South Kerry but I will definitely be back.”

“As a 27 year old woman I was unsure as to how much I would enjoy Sneem hotel. I need not have been wary as I had a fantastic weekend with my partner. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The room was spacious with a beautiful view. The reception area is lovely with a large fire lighting. We ate in the hotel both nights, The food was delicious with generous portions, If I am to be a little picky I would have liked to have seen a different menu for the pub and restaurant, same food is served in both areas however it was lovely. The town itself is lovely and just a very short stroll from the hotel. We enjoyed a drink too many in a couple of pubs on the Friday night and relaxed in the hotel bar the Saturday night with again a drink too many, There was a band playing old music but we enjoyed that immensely and had a great laugh. If you are looking for a relaxing break, Sneem hotel is ideal, best weekend away I have had in Ireland yet. I will be looking forward to returning at some point. P.s make sure to try their Irish coffee's.”

Sauna etc. was advertisded as being open from 9 but when we went down at 9.30, they said it wouldn't be ready for guests until 11 as it was filling. The town itself is tiny, very little going on but grand spot to get in and around Ring of Kerry. We ate in the hotel for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. Dinner was delicious, all 3 courses :-) Breakfast was fine/adequate. Lunch was a bit of a let down, menu on the boring side and when we got the seafood chowder the brown bread was a bit stale. Overall it was nice for the price you pay through lidl breaks but i wouldnt pay their actual price on their website.”

From the moment we arrived the staff in all areas were so friendly and helpful, a credit to management. The room was spacious, spotless with lovely crisp bed linen and soft white towels. We were so lucky to have only 3 hours of rain and even then it was magical. We found the hotel to be perfectly positioned fro touring the Ring of Kerry breathtaking views. We had planned the trip knowing that weather could be the typical Irish summer and went preparred. We went on fantastic walks and enjoyed our time in the town/village. “Oh my God, I have never experienced the 'natural' good service we received from the staff at the Sneem Hotel. They say that the Irish 'hundred thousand welcomes' is dead and buried - not here. We have stayed in many hotels where the welcome and good service are a bit forced but in the Sneem Hotel, you feel that the staff are totally genuine. Food was excellent. We followed a recommendation on Tripadvisor.com for the fish and chips in the bar. WOW - I'm not really into fish and chips but this was really good. The evening meal was just fantastic. WOW WOW WOW. To be honest, this hotel is in the middle of nowhere (sorry everyone from Kerry) but on the upside, we didn't have big parties of 'yobs' disturbing everyone's else's comfort. The hotel attracts guests who are more relaxed. The bar was full on Saturday night, the live music was superb and the 'craic' was mighty - but relaxed. The hotel is not stunning. No leisure centre. Hardly worth visiting the whirlpool and sauna. But when you wake up in the morning and open the curtain, the view was stunning. Dinah in the reception was particularly good and ensured we had a good view!!!!”
