“A spur of the moment getaway with my wife, and we both enjoyed our stay in the Kilmore. Rooms where clean/tidy and comfortable,The food was delicious and a much more extensive breakfast to choose from, and excellent service. Within walking distance if you fancy fast food is Mcdonalds and KFC and for your coffee/Costa. Take a trip into Cavan town for your steps and checkout The Hard Boiled Egg Cafe for a spot of lunch, over-all we enjoyed our stay,”

“We booked in for two nights and the first night the staff was lovely when we went to have dinner in the bar (the restaurant wasn’t open which was disappointing). The second evening was St Patricks Day and again we went down for dinner in the evening time - unfortunately we found the staff not to be very pleasant at all. With it being St Patricks Day we thought there may be some entertainment but again were left disappointed and the bar shut at 11.10 which was surprising. Overall, the room was nice - there was a frame of clear glass in the bathroom door which was baffling. On a positive note the food was the highlight. I can’t say I would visit again nor would I recommend which is not something I say lightly as I know businesses are just trying to recover from the last few harsh years.”

“Walked into a beautiful lobby and the girls a reception were lovely..Staff in the bar went above and beyond to serve you..Food was fabulous and the breakfast was gorgeous and a great choice..our bathroom was hugh and the bed was so comfortable. Close to the town. A taxi cost us 10 euro each way (for 2 people)”

Reason for my 4 out of 5 rating is because we had breakfast delivered to our room but had to sit on bed to eat it as we only had 1 chair, as a standard room we feel it should at least have a table with 2 chairs.”
