“We booked in after 3pm on 12/9/21 and we were given key to a down stairs bedroom as I requested a quiet room. We checked our mobiles and noted that we had no mobile or wi-fi coverage. I went to reception and the lady said that she would sort it out immediately as I explained that our son was ringing us from USA in an hour. She said that she would call to our room to check if it was fixed. We waited an hour but nobody called, I went to reception again and she said that she would change us to another room and to pack our cases and ring reception when ready and she would come up and show us to our new room. I rang down but got no answer, we waited but the receptionist did not arrive, we went down to reception and we felt that we were ignored, granted she was explaining something to a male receptionist , I felt if she just acknowledged us and say I will be with you in a minute. She did say that she would show us to our new room but we declined. When we were leaving she never asked how was our stay. The breakfast was beautiful any very friendly staff. We had three evening meals but the fish and chips on Sunday night was not great, I did not say anything, we got vol au vent and chips on Tuesday night, it could we warmer, I said it to the nice waitress just to heat it but she got me another vol au vent and it was piping hot.”

Hotel immaculate and covid guide lines very clear and both Eamonn and myself felt very safe as it was our first break away in the past 2 years, hopefully we will be back to enjoy the Ballyroe heights hotel experience early next year pg.”

Was a bit disappointed with the WiFi and phone connectivity in the room, but the staff were very helpful to offer another room instead. The food quality is excellent and the portions are great. I will come back because we had a lovely stay. A special thank you to the housekeeping, front desk and bar staff for the hospitality.”

“We had a lovely time at Ballyroe Heights hotel..loved the bar/ restaurant..love,love,loved the breakfast room. The views from there were fabulous. From check in to check out everything was perfect, the room,the breakfast each morning and dinner on our second night..perfect. I would however like to make one slight criticism ..we stayed in room 39.. When I opened the window,I was able to open it fully..there was no safety lock to stop anybody falling out..I never stayed in a hotel before where there was no lock on an upper floor window. I only mention this because although we didn't have any children with us on this trip,we have often brought grandchildren away with us..it's one of the first things I check when entering a hotel room. All in all a lovely stay.”

I can confirm their recommendation...we found the hotel to be 100% in all areas and would definitely stay there again. The rooms were clean and comfortable, staff ever so pleasant and helpful, breakfast was very tasty and fresh and the overall setting of the hotel was stunning. Unfortunately our stay was very brief and we did not get to enjoy the hotel for very long, but hope to next time we're down that direction.”

“Dear Sir / Madam , Dear Sir / Madam On 18 july 2015 I attempted to book a LIDL break for Ms M O'Connor to arrive at Ballyroe hotel on 19 July for one night. When I came to the payment stage I clicked the payment tab and waited for at least two minutes. No confirmation of payment was received. In order to ensure that the booking hadn't been registered, I closed the LIDL site and checked in my email to see if a confirmation email had issued. No confirmation had been received. Accordingly I returned to the LIDL booking site and rebooked the same hotel for the same date. This attempt worked satisfactorily and payment was made and booking confirmed. when I returned to my email , I found that the forst attempt at booking, ref number 994545092 had been registered and a deposit of 17.71 euro deducted from Ms O'Connors credit card . In view of the fact that this was a genuine mistake and due to the short comings of the LIDL website, I would appreciate if you would now reimburse ms O'Connors account as she had paid the deposit for the one booking twice. Your early attention to this matter would be much . Regards Oliver Gray”

The only problem we had was extreme noise , shouting, singing and banging doors from room next to ours. Not ideal when you are trying to get two small kids to sleep. When we mentioned this to man at reception next morning his response was that they were at the wedding at hotel and were up 'talking until 6am. We would have been happy with a simple apology! Anyway would still recommend if you don't mind late night wedding crowd antics.”

Friendly and very accommodating staff especially those who served our dinner and breakfast. Food so delicious and well presented. Value for money with a very class hotel...
