“This hotel has it all when visiting kiÄºkenny and will tick all the boxes for your stay . From the very friendly and helpful front desk staff to there beautifully decorated comfortable bedrooms then on to the top class swimming pool and leisure facilities and it's location a minutes walk to all of the pubs kilkenny castle ect I would highly recommend . Stayed there twice and will definitely be returning keep up the great work and service level to The ormonde and as for kilkenny city a great place to go . Best Regards Mick and Tina Barrett”

“One night stay ,Husband and I had a lovely stay at the Ormonde, the location of the Hotel is very accessible to all Kilkennys sights and nightlife, Our room was nice, clean and spacious. lobby nicely furnished very comfortable and quiet,nice Hotel bar although we decided to go out and sample Kilkennys nightlife. Breakfast lovely and plentiful. We would highly recommend this Hotel and definitely book here again.”

Found rooms were too warm and couldn't sleep asked at reception for them to turn off heating all together but never happened also was put in a room where the AC fans were so at 5 o clock the noise from fan system kept us all awake.Would return again if put in a different room and they sorted the heating system.”

“loved this hotel , everything was just perfect.. all staff were extremely friendly and attentive ,food was excellent from breakfast to dinner ,rooms were spotless ,as was the pool and changing area .. special mention to the bar man on duty who was so kind to my son getting him his ice cream that he wanted .. nothing was to much trouble,, would highly recommend this hotel to any one thinking of staying in Kilkenny..”

“Very friendly hotel. Really nice food in restaurant . Kids had great fun in Club..they loved the bouncey castle. Rooms are nice but on the small size however we didnt mind. Hotel bar lacks atmosphere. I expected some entertainment for mid term. Pool lovely. All in all a pleasent stay right in the centre on the town and castle.”

“Nice modern comfortable hotel. Bedroom nice and clean. Only fault I could find was the pillows were very hard not comfortable at all. Breakfast lovely with a wide selection of foods to choose from. Only fault here was they serve the tea to early so that it is lukewarm by the time you go to eat your fry. All in all a lovely hotel.”

“Stayed for one night recently.The girl at reception was very helpful with information about places to eat and drink and the hotel amenities, even though she was really busy with phone calls etc. and I think that she was training another girl as well. The rooms were very comfortable,and spotless. the food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly,very helpful, and very efficient.I can't say enough good things about this hotel and it's great staff. I'm going to stay there again soon.”

“As a young couple (early 20's) we really enjoyed our two night mid-week stay. The central location was perfect and so easy to find when driving through the city. We really enjoyed the leisure centre facilities and the spa really was the icing on the cake! Would be very inclined to return to both Kilkenny and the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel.”

The hotel was easy to find and parking was across the road in a multi story car park that has an offer with the hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were greeted with warmth, friendliness and courtesy. Our room was bright, clean and airy. The lounge area, the dining area and the bar when it opened were lovely. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. We have stayed a few times in Kilkenny before and when we go back it will certainty be to the Ormonde. We will be using the Lidl breaks again for sure.”

“We had a lovely stay before the children went back to school. we stayed for one night with the intention of visiting Kilkenny castle which is stunning and the hotel is literally 2-3 mins away from. When we arrived we upgraded to a larger room which was well worth the extra cost as we had our 3 children with us. The leisure center is also very nice. Would use this hotel again.”
